I wish I Was There: L’Oréal Paris Glacier Glitch

What was it?
The L’Oréal Paris Glacier Glitch was a brand-led influencer trip set in Val d’Isère, France — a snowy, cinematic backdrop used to blend beauty, winter sports and experiential moments into what looked less like a campaign and more like the ultimate girls’ trip.

Visually, the trip was anchored by a distinct creative world: “Glacier Glitch.” Icy blues, futuristic textures and snowy alpine settings were translated into cohesive branded displays, content backdrops and product application moments which tied every piece of content back to the same visual and unmistakably L’Oreal story.

L’Oreal hooked their audience through integrated products into real, slightly exaggerated life moments — solving very relatable beauty routine “first-world problems” whilst skiing

Helmet hair between runs? A pop-up gondola hair salon appeared mid-mountain, letting guests refresh their hair using L’Oréal products before heading straight into après-ski.

Dry skin from flying and high altitude? Guests wore 90-minute hydrogel face masks on the flight, clearly embodying accessible luxury and their product benefits in action.

Makeup on the go? Influencers filmed GRWM-style content while skiing, poking fun at the contrast between being overdressed for a sport. It kept the tone light, self-aware and cool — never overly polished or serious.

L’Oréal also leaned into iconic, unexpected touches designed purely for delight and virality. A branded robot — “Dewi the Glass Skin Robot” — delivered new product ranges to guests, adding a futuristic, tongue-in-cheek layer that made the content instantly memorable.

Why did it give me FOMO?

What made this trip so effective was how intentional it felt. L’Oréal invited a mix of macro creators, micro-talent and real brand fans — including a competition winner from the UK TikTok community — which instantly made the experience feel both aspirational and attainable. Watching it unfold online didn’t feel like peeking into an untouchable influencer bubble; it felt like something you could imagine yourself being invited to.
