"How Smooth is Too Smooth" Campaign - creating a lifestyle-driven, witty world around matcha, where “smoothness” extends beyond texture to encompass life, conversation, and style.
We brought matcha to life by designing a tablescape that invites childlike play outdoors among greenery, staying true to the brand’s identity of nostalgia, imagination, and curiosity. The tablescape is styled as a living installation: lush, sculptural florals sprawl across mossy ground, while geometric treats, squared motifs, and stacked forms subtly echo Marlo’s pixel-inspired identity and its roots in curiosity and imagination. By turning the old “don’t play with your food” rule on its head, the styling encourages a sense of childlike exploration through a witty, immersive tablescape where matcha gathers guests together, inviting conversation, lingering, and an experience of smoothness as both a flavour and a feeling.
